With a career spanning decades of innovation across console, handheld, PC, and tabletop games, Faran Thomason has helped shape multiple eras of gaming. A lifelong gamer turned developer, he has worked in genres ranging from action-adventure to sports to first-person shooters.
Faran has collaborated with iconic companies including Atari, Nintendo, and Sega. His game credits include Atari Lynx Lemmings, Cybermorph, Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales, Bionic Commando Elite Forces, Tron 2.0, and R-Type DX. He was also recently featured in Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration and Bubsy: The Purrfect Collection.
In addition to video games, Faran has developed award-winning handheld and toy lines based on arcade classics such as Pac-Man, Centipede, and Galaxian. He has contributed to premium gaming collectibles, including Jinx’s Wind Up Monkey Bomb from Arcane and the Mothership from the Homeworld 3 Collector’s Edition.
Most recently, he co-launched Lore Lords Gladiators for the Atari 2600, continuing his passion for retro game development and demonstrating that classic hardware still has new stories to tell.
