Bio:
Born in Athens, Georgia, raised in Canada and now happily re-settled in Washington State, Dev grew up on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons, sugary cereal and heavy metal records. With more than 35 years of experience in the video game and comic book industries, Dev is perhaps best known as the Art Director and Character Designer on the AIAS Award-winning Sly Cooper trilogy for the PS2.
His career also includes roles like Director of Art at Toys For Bob for Crash Team Rumble (PS5/Xbox/Switch/PC), Artist on Return to Monkey Island (Console/PC) with Ron Gilbert/Terrible Toybox, and Creative Director for the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, where he helped launch PvZ Garden Warfare (Console). As Studio Art Director at PopCap/EA Games, he contributed to titles such as PvZ 2 (iOS/PC), Bejeweled Blitz, and Solitaire Blitz (FB/iOS/DS), and was instrumental in the founding of Humongous Entertainment alongside Ron Gilbert.
As an illustrator, Dev worked with Squaresoft on the game box covers for Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy 3, as well as with DC Comics on iconic titles like Plastic Man, Judge Dredd, and Batman Adventures. He also created the popular creator-owned series Young Heroes in Love, which ran for 18 issues.
