Bio:
Cody Christian was born in Maine and lived in Indiana during his early childhood. At age 9, he moved to Los Angeles after hearing a radio advertisement for a local audition for a commercial featuring kids who played football. This opportunity sparked his interest in acting, leading to his first significant break and ultimately being cast as “Asher,” the charismatic wide receiver, on the CW series “All American,” produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Brothers TV.
Christian is also widely recognized for his compelling performances as “Theo” on MTV’s hit series “Teen Wolf,” and as “Mike Montgomery” on Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars,” both of which enjoyed six-season runs. His talent early on was evident when he landed his first major film role at the age of 12, portraying “Boy Cantor” in the science fiction action film “Surrogates,” starring Bruce Willis.
Following this, Christian took on the lead role in Peter Safran’s comedy “The Starving Games,” showcasing his versatility across genres. He also delivered a memorable performance as “Johnny,” the villain in David Goyer’s critically acclaimed film “Assassination Nation,” which became the biggest deal made by Neon at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was directed by Sam Levinson.
In addition to his on-screen performances, Cody was cast in the title role of “Nick Newell” in the film “Notorious Nick,” a gripping story based on a true account of a mixed martial artist born with a congenital limb deficiency. His voice acting talents have also been recognized; he provided the voice of “Cloud Strife,” one of the most beloved characters from “Final Fantasy VII Remake,” as well as in”Final Fantasy: Rebirth” video game.
Throughout his career, Cody has received numerous accolades. He was honored with the International Male Melty Future Award at Le Grand R Paris, France, highlighting his influence and potential in the entertainment industry. In 2021, he received a BAFTA Award nomination for Leading Role, and in 2025, he earned a BAFTA Longlist nomination, further cementing his status as a talented and versatile actor.
