Best known for bringing Raiden to life in Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II, Carlos played a pivotal role in shaping one of gaming’s most iconic franchises. Beyond his on-screen performance, he served as a lead artist, action designer, and motion capture coordinator, helping develop the combat system that defined Mortal Kombat.
Carlos continued his work with NetherRealm Studios for decades, contributing to every Mortal Kombat title after MK5. His motion capture expertise and character design work helped evolve the series into the modern era. He most recently worked on Mortal Kombat 1 before retiring from the studio.
His legacy is deeply embedded in the franchise’s DNA and in the fighting game genre as a whole.
