Brett Weiss

Bio:

Gaming historian Brett Weiss has been a gamer since 1975 and a professional writer since 1997. The author of 13 books, he has extensively covered classic consoles like the NES, Super NES, Atari 2600, ColecoVision, and Sega Genesis, to name just a few. His latest release, The 100 Greatest Console Video Games: 1988-1998, explores a decade of gaming greatness. He’s also got a YouTube show, Tales from a Retro Gamer, and has appeared in various gaming documentaries. Weiss, who authored the world’s first and only encyclopedia about the rock band KISS, has written countless articles for numerous publications, including Game Informer, Fangoria, Filmfax, the Comics Buyer’s Guide, and Old School Gamer. In addition to writing a national column in AntiqueWeek called The Pop Culture Collective, he’s the Lead Video Game Cataloger for Heritage Auctions.
